Sir Peter Blake Regatta

The first weekend of December in 2025 was a big one for some of our junior sailors! We had a team of Bic and Starling skippers enter the Sir Peter Blake Regatta on the 6th and 7th of December. This is a huge event, the biggest mixed centreboard regatta in the southern hemisphere, and it was great to meet other sailors from across the country and even overseas.

A message from Commodore Gill to the regatta participants:

"Huge congratulations to all the HYC sailors at the SPB regatta this weekend. You made me very proud. Thank you 🙏 I also want to recognise the massive amount of effort all the parents put in to support their children through thick and thin! It was a very challenging regatta with fickle winds and fierce sun. Enjoy some recovery time."

We are looking forward to participating in more regattas like these in 2026!
